looking for some fun this weekend? How about the Des Moines IA ren fest-pirate fest! its the only permanent faire in Iowa, and only a gas tank fill away from most of Iowa and other states. Just a few miles from a main hi-way, there is fun for all ages. Kids Areas, Jousting, re-enactment areas, good food, the Royal Court and.. the pirates! I'll be there as Merrydeath with my crew of Fools Gold.. first weekend Pirates, then Celts, and last weekend Romance!!

the first faire of the Iowa season is in 2 weeks! May 3-4.

 Pray for good weather so the grounds dry. Its been raining every day.. but it won't take much to get it dried and ready for the best faire in Mid-Iowa.

After the surgery:   the surgery went ok but it turns out I get most of the anesthesia problems. I lost the day after to being sick and dizzy, then the next day to a sick stomach, plus the doc said I bled quite a bit. Much better now and finally home, feeling 100% better then I did Tues. I can email or take calls again, but I'm still trying to move around slowly. Happy April, everybody.
